Modern Meadow, the biofabrication company pioneering biologically advanced materials, announced its long-anticipated move to a state-of- the-art laboratory and pilot manufacturing site at ON3, the former Hoffmann-La Roche campus in Nutley, New Jersey.
Helped in part by Grow NJ tax credits of up to $32 million approved by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), CEO Andras Forgacs said he is excited to join a growing New Jersey biotech community as they are outgrowing their BioBAT location in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park.
“With this move, Modern Meadow is committed to expanding its biofabrication platform and continuing to build next-generation materials for the consumers of the future,” said Forgacs. “We are thrilled to be in close proximity to a scientific talent pool and look forward to growing with Nutley.”
With $53.5 million total funding to date, and this new 72,900ft2 space to expand, they are now hiring and planning to add 200 new employees by 2020.
