Inaugural Ceremony of 8th PMLS-2023
The first activity of Pakistan Mega Leather Show (PMLS) 2023 was organizing of a formal Inaugural Ceremony of 8th Pakistan Mega Leather Show which was held on 1st February’2023 at Main Entrance of Hall # 2 of Lahore International Expo Centre wherein Mr. M. Zubair Motiwala, Chief Executive, TDAP was the Chief Guest of the Inaugural Ceremony of 8th PMLS-2023. Honourable CE, TDAP alongwith Mr.Muhammad Mehr Ali, Chairman, Pakistan Tanners Association, Mr. Mansoor Elahi Sheikh, Chairman, PFMA, Mr.Agha Saiddain, Convener-PMLS, Mr. Fazalur Rehman Sheikh, Chairman, PTA-Northern Zone, Mr.Muhammad Shafi, Chairman, PTA-Southern Zone, Mr. Muhammad Musaddiq, Member Steering Committee, PMLS and some of the Senior Members of PTA & PFMA participated in the prestigious ribbon cutting ceremony of 8th PMLS-2023.
In conclusion of this mega event of Inaugural Ceremony of 8th Pakistan Mega Leather Show, Chairman, PTA and PFMA jointly presented a momentum to Mr. M. Zubair Motiwala, CE, TDAP as a Chief Guest of the Show.

A media briefing was arranged on this occasion jointly by PTA & PFMA addressed by Mr. Zubair Motiwala, CEC TDAP, Mr. Muhammad Mehr Ali, Chairman, Pakistan Tanners Association and Mr.Mansoor Elahi Sheikh, Chairman, PFMA, Mr.Agha Saiddain,Convener-PMLS alongwith Mr.Fazalur Rehman Sheikh, Chairman, PTA-Northern Zone, Mr. Muhammad Shafi, Chairman, PTA-Southern Zone, which was also attended by Senior Members of PTA& PFMA, Business Community and a large number of representatives of Electronic and Print media.
At this occasion Mr. Muhammad Mehr Ali, Chairman, PTA informed the Press that many foreign participants from Turkey, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Hong Kong, Cyprus, USA, UAE, China, Iran and Tunisia and many other countries are participating in PMLS-2023 and about more than 200 Stands of eye catching valued added Finished Leather of all sorts, Leather Footwear, Leather Garments and other Leather Products, Tanning Chemicals and Machineries& Components/Accessories will be displayed in Hall # 1 & Hall # 2 during the 3-days of the Show with full sewing to attract foreign buyers.
Chairman, PTA also shared with the daily activities held during 3 Days of the Show. He also informed that a wide range of publicity of PMLS’2023 was made by PTA in Pakistan Pavilion organized in International Leather Fairs in various destinations and thorough PMLS website and Social Media as well expecting for maximum participation of the foreign buyers/visitors in PMLS-2023 :
Announcement of next 9th PMLS-2024 in Lahore Int’l Expo Centre
Just after the Inaugural Ceremony, Mr. Agha Saiddain, Convener, Pakistan Mega Leather Show announced the Next date of organizing of “9thPakistan Mega Leather Show” scheduled to be held from 26-28th January’2024 in Hall # 2 at Lahore Int’l Expo Centre, Lahore with regular & much more new features of the Show with the same spirit & enthusiasm for the promotion of trade activities.
Meeting of PTA & PFMA held with the CE-TDAP
PTA & PFMA also arranged a meeting with Mr. M. Zubair Motiwala, CE, TDAP on 01.02.2023 in the meeting room of Expo Centre and discussed core issues being faced by the exporters of Leather Industry. He patiently heard the issues and assured his support for early redressal.
Lunch hosted in honour of the Chief Guest of 8th PMLS-2023
PTA and PFMA jointly hosted alavish lunch in honour of Mr. Zubair Motiwala, Chief Executive, TDAP being a Chief Guest of the Inauguration of PMLS-2023. Prominent members of PTA & PFMA participated in the said event to make it memorable.

Activities – 2nd Day of the Exhibition on 02.02.2023 at Lahore Int’l Expo Centre
The Show was started with full of its trade activities from 10:00 am morning of 2nd February’2023 till end of closing time i.e. 6:00 PM and the a large number of traders, buyers, customers, visitors was also seen at the registration counters. Various Seminars and B2B meetings were organized in Hall # 1 & Hall # 2 of the Lahore Expo Centre separately by PTA & PFMA
Seminar organized by SGS Pakistan on 02.02.2023 in Conference Room of Hall # 1
On 2nd Fenruary’2023, a Seminar on the topic of “Environmental Sustainability in Leather Industry” was organized by one of the Exhibitors, M/s. SGS Pakistan in Hall # 1, Mezzanine Floor Conference Room # 1 of the Lahore Expo Centre at 12:00 noon which was helpful & conducive for the participants.

On 2nd February’2023, a Seminar was organized by one of the Exhibitors M/s. SRC (Pvt) Ltd on the topic of “Leather Circularity”, in Conference Room of Hall # 1 of the Lahore Expo Centre at 3:00 PM which was very informative for the participants.
Distribution of Show Directory of 8th PMLS – 2023 amongst the Participants
A prestigious Show Directory of 8th Pakistan Mega Leather Show-2023 containing detail of Company Profiles of each participant of Hall # 1 & Hall # 2 of the Lahore Int’l Expo Centre participating in the Show distributed each Stand holder on 2nd day of the Show for information and wide promotion of their Company’s products.
Activities – 3rd Day of the Exhibition on 03.02.2023 at Lahore Int’l Expo Centre
On the 3rd day, the Show started with full sewing of trade activities from 10:00 am morning of 3rd February’2023 till end of the show time. A large number of traders, buyers, customers, visitors were also visiting the show. A spot sale also opened on the 3rd day for facilitation of the visitors concerned.
Prize Distribution Ceremony
The Prize Distribution Ceremony was held on 03.02.2023 for the best 3 Stalls for Finished Leather Category and 3-Stnads of Tanning Chemicals & Machinery Category of Hall # 1 of PTA’s participants separately. As per Jury’s decision the following stands holders were selected for 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions while the Prize distribution Ceremony of Hall # 2 participants arranged by PFMA separately
Distribution of Shields to the Exhibitors/Participants of 8th PMLS’2023 in Lahore
PTA distributed Shields on the 3rd day of the Show to each Stand of the Exhibitors of 8th PMLS-2023 of Hall # 1 as acknowledgement of their successful participation.
Conclusion
The 8th Pakistan Mega Leather Show-2023 was concluded successfully and achieved all desired goals and objectives of the show as were set by the Steering Committee of the Show. The three-days show featured high quality Leather and Leather products and export quality footwear export products from across the country and abroad was found with enormous traffic of trade visitors which is around 3500 to 4000 each day as well as the Electronic Registration counter maintained at entrance of Hall # 2 of the Expo Centre and all the stands were quite busy with the business conclusion to the finalization extent.
Besides above, encouraging number of foreign participants took part in the Show from China, Turkey, Iran, Italy, Spain, Germany Portugal and other countries and the total number of stands in Hall # 1 & 2 were 210 both for PTA & PFMA with eye catching features including brandings with attractive ambience of booths was termed to be center of the attraction.
Overall outcome of 8th Pakistan Mega Leather Show was outstanding as beyond the expectation and achieved the desired goals of the Show. All the Exhibitors specially foreign Exhibitors, Foreign Groups were satisfied and committed to participate in the next event of 9th PMLS-2024 too.
Participants were found happy and shown in advance to continue their participation in next PMLS’2024 to be held from 26-28th January’2024 @ Hall # 2 (Front Hall) in Lahore Expo Centre.
