Italian leather processing giant TFL has opened a new fashion centre which will become, it says, “the global point of reference for shoe upper and leather goods, where TFL technicians, as well as customers and Brands can meet in order to find out the latest trends in leather fashion and the most innovative chemical technologies complying with all international restrictions and regulations.”
The centre, located in Castelfranco, Tuscany, was officially opened on 3 May, with the occasion marked by an opening ceremony followed by the first TFL Global Leather Forum “E-volution.E-commerce sheds its skin”. The forum was intended to debate the visibility provided by e-commerce and the business chances offered by this new market to the leather segment and to the tanneries.
The discussion, moderated by TFL fashion consultant Emanuele Zamponi, featured contributions from Peter Amann (CEO –TFL Group), Gianni Russo (UNIC President), Marta Casadei (Journalist at Il Sole 24 Ore), Lars Feldscher (Head Manager Astound DE/IT/ES), Mario Soave (Executive Team and Managing Director Italy Launchmetrics), Gustavo A. Defeo (Director Ars Tinctoria and X-Rite/Pantone distributor), Giuseppe Grandinetti (Global Digital Head Marketing Vibram).
