Première Vision Leather, formerly known as Cuir à Paris and now one of the six Première Vision Paris shows, has drawn the world’s top tanneries to present their new collections from 10−12 February 2015.
Twenty new companies will be represented, including 11 tanneries, eight manufacturers of technical components for footwear and one specialising in textiles for accessories. Pittards, for instance, will exhibit for the first time, as well as Tarnsjo, Curtidos Bassols, Fuga Couros and Aldo e Ivo Portolano Guanti.
For years, tanneries of leading French luxury labels have dominated. But for the first time, the Kering Group, which has traditionally exhibited along with the Caravel and France Croco tanneries, is presenting its new Serbian tannery, Luxury Tanning. So from now on, all the group’s products will be exhibited on one single stand.
It’s a clear indication that tanneries have growing confidence in the show, with more than 350 exhibitors registered so far – the total footprint of 2014 – to show their summer 2016 collections. Out of this, 84% are international; Italy represents just over 60% of exhibitors, 16% are from France, 6.5% from Turkey and 6.5% from Spain.
