Demand for leather luggage and good such as wallets, jackets and shoes is continuing to soar around the world, with North America one of the biggest consumers.
By 2022, global sales are expected to equate to $525 billion. A rise in business trips means leather travel bags alone are anticipated to generate more than $35 billion a year by 2022, while annual sales of goods in bricks-and-mortar stores are expected to reach $95 billion in the next five years, despite an uptick in online retail.
Overall, women are the most prolific buyers of leather goods, spending a total of $66 billion in 2017.
