Rishad Bathiudeen, the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Sri Lanka, says that the Sri Lankan footwear and leather industry is steadily growing and has developed into a viable sector to cater to international markets.
Minister Bathiudeen made comments ahead of the 6th International Footwear and Leather Fair earlier in February based on the footwear sector obtaining significant growth of nearly 140% last year.
