Cartigliano unveil R&D facility

Italian machinery providers Cartigliano have unveiled their new R&D department located in Cartigliano, VI, Italy. The new facility which covers an area of more than 1,500 sq m, involved an investment of over €2.5 million, proof that Cartigliano believe in the future of tannery innovation. The site offers the opportunity to test the most advanced drying, conditioning and staking systems for any kind of leathers or skins, for varying end uses. This facility is at the disposal of tanners, completely free of charge. The company are particularly keen for tanners to conduct trials using the ‘Just in Time Line’ which offers the most modern technology in terms of quality, yield gain and consistency. All of the installed machines can be used individually or connected in sequence to form automatic lines of production able to process for example 100 hides or 200 sides per hour or 600 sheepskins/ hour.
