Five Brazilian tanneries will take part in Interzum, the world's leading fair for providers and buyers of furniture and interior decoration materials, in Cologne, Germany, from 16-19 May.

They will show leathers with the support of the Brazilian Leather project, an initiative of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brazil) to incentivize national leather participation in foreign markets.

The fair takes place every two years and has extensive programming of events linked to the furniture segment intelligence and commercial platform.

"As this sector is less sensitive to instant trends than many other leather clients, Interzum has become a necessary moment for evaluating the market and what buyers of this type of material will be looking for in the coming years", says CICB's executive president José Fernando Bello.

Interzum has over 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries confirmed and is expected to receive nearly 60,000 visitors.
