Walk the halls

14 June 2019

The 40th edition of Première Vision New York, on 16–17 July, promises to be one of the best as the world’s top fashion brands showcase their fall and winter 2020 lines.

New York City is the major business hub for North American fashion professionals, and once again at Pier 94 on the banks of the Hudson, mid-summer in Manhattan means – at least to materials professionals – Premiere Vision New York.

This will be the 40th edition of the show and is expected to surpass expectations given how it is an encouraging time in this massive market. Despite political setbacks, optimism remains a prevailing trend and, this time around for the fall and winter 2020 lines, the numbers at Premiere Vision New York are expected to increase – not as dramatically as the outside temperatures from January to July, but considering Lineapelle and the World Leather Congress will happen across town at around the same time, there will be even more buzz in the city, and greater determination to build on progress.

“Première Vision has always connected the best international brands to the most innovative and creative companies of the fashion industry.”

Lead by example

Year after year, Premiere Vision continues to forge ahead in its role to bring people together, and create channels to share and network within the fashion industry. The upcoming summer show will display its perennial relevance through content comprising of the Trend Area and fashion seminars, as well as a programme of Smart Talks to keep people ahead of the curve on sustainability initiatives in the fashion world, which further cements Premiere Vision’s legacy as a show that inspires global fashion professionals.

The Smart Creation Area will also again be a soughtafter space, as an increasing number of brands are trying to find solutions to transform their creations into more sustainable and eco-friendly products.

Premiere Vision has always connected the best international brands to the most innovative and creative companies of the fashion industry. And although the current climate calls for greater vigilance and dedication, there is a consensus across the industry to forge ahead and meet challenges with more commitment than ever.
