Leather Orientation Course

The Leather Orientation Course will be held at the University of Cincinnati October 3-5, 2001, and is designed specifically for professionals involved in leather purchasing, quality control or product design, as well as newer tannery employees. The seminar provides participants with the knowledge and understanding necessary to make strategic decisions on leather choice, setting performance standards, and assessing quality compliance. Participants will watch the production of wet-blue, in addition to learning about defects, recognising different and specialty leathers and witnessing performance testing. This course is designed specifically for the leather buyer responsible for sourcing leather for products such as coats or shoes.
