On the back of IILF, where BASF presented newly developed integrated chemical solutions for tanneries such as its topcoat Astacin Novomatt DD and DryFast, Dr Alexander Wartini, the company's vice-president of global business management and leather chemicals, talks innovative and ecologically sustainable technology.

This year, APLF organisers are expecting 1,200 exhibitors and an estimated 19,000 buyers to visit during the three-day exhibition. Leather International previews one of the key events on the industry calendar.
