JBS Wonderbest retains LWG rating

The JBS Wonderbest plant, located at the Guangdong Province, China, was re-audited in March and received for a second time, the LWG silver medal, in accordance with LWG protocol 5.2.3.


In the same audit, a grade A for traceability was conceded for Wonderbest. All the nine JBS Couros was audited by BLC Leather Technology Centre and received the same grade as the last audit.

Traceability is an important part of the work developed by JBS’s Leather Division, and to receive A in all its audited units demonstrates commitment to its supply chain say JBS. ‘The result confirms that the company’s traceability system have the right tools to trace back the raw materials from finishing to the slaughterhouse and to the farms of origin, in accordance to the audit protocol for Brazilian tanners’.
