Istanbul fairs to be held in January

Istanbul Shoe Fashion 2006 (Summer) and Istanbul Shoe Machinery and Side Industry Fair 2006 will be held between January 25-28, 2006 at Tüyap Fair, Convention and Congress Center, Beylikdüzü, Istanbul. The exhibitions are organised by Tuyap Fairs and Exhibitions in cooperation with ART International Fair Organisation and Bizim Sektör and supported by IAYSAD, the Association of Shoe Manufacturers Supply Industrialists of Istanbul. The focus of the Istanbul Shoe Fair shall be slippers, boots (industrial, security and military), children's shoes, men's shoes, women's shoes and sport shoes. The Istanbul Shoe Machinery and Side Industry Fair will highlight ready soles, leather, upper leather and leather for lining, laces and harness cords, accessories, inner soles, glues for shoes, finishing materials, labels and packaging materials, fort-bombe, nails and wires, heels, materials for the upper parts of the shoes made from woven and non-woven textiles, sewing yarnsi machines used in shoe manufacturing, knifes and cutting tools, reinforcing materials, metal soles and bombings for security shoes, moulds and moulders. The aim of both fairs is to accelerate the shoe sector and unite all companies with their target buyers under the same roof. Companies from Europe, Russia, Caucasus, the Balkans and various countries from the Middle East are expected to take part in the event. The Turkish shoe industry employs 400,000 people and generates $2.3 billion of domestic and international products a year.
