Innovation from Carlessi

29 November 2004

Visitors are invited to Hall 35, stand B19/C18 where the latest products from Fratelli Carlessi will be on display. Staff present at the exhibition include: Duilio Carlessi, Gianluigi Carlessi, Ezio Paravisi, Claudio Gualandris and Eliana Preda. They will show the rotary apray cabinet type Diamond 3400. The main features of this latest cabinet are: structure made entirely of stainless steel AISI 304; internal water recycling system by electropump; low recycled water volume; large doors positioned on both the control side and the suction side; and electronic controls that are easy to access and use. The anti-pollution unit for spray fumes type DEP is supplied with: the whole structure made of stainless steel AISI 304; centrifugal fan made of painted steel for fume suction; impinging baffles made of aluminium sheets; new internal design allowing better abatement of fumes; automatic washing system of the plastic balls inside the anti-pollution group (upon request). The DEP1 type is used on spray booths with 1,800-2,200-2,600mm working widths, while the DEP2 is used on booths with 3,000-3,400mm working width. Radiation drying tunnel type TES/S is a new, revolutionary drying tunnel for finishing lines using radiancy produced by an electrical current. It has a set of electric panels (covered by international patent) which, thanks to their special construction, radiate in a single direction, concentrating action on the leather and limiting heat loss. Internal parts of the tunnel are dust-free as there are no air re-circulation fans (the tunnel houses exhausting fans which extract humid air). Even the lightest skins can lay steadily on the conveyor as there is no ventilation. The unit is easy to assemble and offers low power consumption thanks to minimal heat loss. As there are no steam or other thermal fluid and respective boilers, only electric fittings are required, allowing it to operate independently from the rest of the tannery. The unit offers localised temperature regulation in any zone of the tunnel, selection of the heating curve from feed-in to feed-out; and a fast start up (maximum 10 minutes) allowing users to switch off the whole plant for short breaks. The quality of the leather is improved, giving a softer feel because the heat is only concentrated on the pigmented surface. In addition, plant cleaning and maintenance is minimised due to the absence of air filters. The tunnel is suitable for use after the spray booth and rollercoating machines and comes in standard working widths of 1,800, 2,200, 2,600, 3,000, and 3,400mm. Hall 35, stand B19-C18
