Industry associations meet in Istanbul
15 February 2012The 6th Istanbul Leather Fair (IDF 2012) hosted a number events alongside the trade show last month. International leather industry guests reinforced the international aspect of the event. A seminar was held in memory of Bülent Hazer, a pioneer member of the Turkish leather industryand former ICT President. The Hazer debate panel was attended by leaders from Cotance, IULTCS and ICHSLTA.
The annual assembly of the global leather industry was held at IDF 2012 with the chairpersons and members of ICT, Cotance, IULTCS and ICHSLTA.
A seminar was also held by the Fashion Academy of Istanbul in association with the French trend agency Nelly Rodi who informed show visitors about the 2012-13 autumn-winter trends.
Large-scale orders taken during the Istanbul Leather Fair (IDF 2012) were particularly effective for exhibitors due to the number of international visitors.
IDF 2012 recieved 11,480 professionals, 1251 attended from 66 countries.
351 industry representatives from 29 countries took part in IDF 2012 held at the Tüyap Fair, Congress and Convention Center, Büyükçekmece/İstanbul. There were four national pavillions from France, Greece, India and Pakistan were among the international exhibitors at IDF 2012.
Organised by the Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organisation in co-operation with Artı-F, in association with the Turkish Leather Foundation (Türdev) and the support of the Leather Apparel Producers Association of Turkey (TDKD) and other leading organisations from the industry. IDF 2012 was also held with the support of KOSGEB and the Genuine Turkish Leather (DTG).
IDF 2013 will be held between January 17-19, 2013 at the same venue.
