Hermes family create holding firm

13 December 2010

The Hermes family announced on December 5 that they will create a family holding firm with more than 50% of Hermes International's capital but said the move would have no effect on their stake in the French luxury company, which is most famous for high-end leather goods and clothing.

The Hermes family's commitment to create this majority holding is confirmed and the new company is to benefit from preferred rights on the remaining stock owned directly by the French family.

It added that the operation would have no effect on the family's stake in Hermes International.
