Haiphong's leather shoe exports from Vietnam

Leather shoe manufacturers in Haiphong in northern Vietnam exported 40 million pairs of shoes in 2002, an increase of 20% compared with the previous year, according to the Vietnamese News Agency. The success of these manufacturers continued in the first few days of this year when enough export contracts were signed to employ their production capacities until June. Haiphong's shoe manufacturers invested a total of US$6.5 million in 2002.
