11 January 2010

Turkish finishing chemical specialists, Sarchem have introduced a number of product updates in their LT-C range aimed particularly at producing high quality glazed leathers.

LT-C 1007 is a condensed polyamide binder derivative, which gives an elastic film of medium softness and provides properties such as good wet rub fastness and no spot swelling. The product can be used in casein and resin finishes providing reduced stickiness and gives a fine surface shine. It is also recommended for use on polished or glazed leather articles to obtain an elastic, shiny, pleasant handle with good fastness properties.
LT-C 1008 is an oil, wax and protein based product in a water dispersion, which was developed for a level absorption and good grain uniformity. The product helps to improve the glazeability of leather and gives a bright and deep glazing effect. The product can be used in ground coats especially on softy leathers with a final dry milling which will not reduce the adhesion of the following coats.
LT-C 1009 is an anionic modified casein in aqueous dispersion, which gives a very transparent and hard film that is easily glazeable. The product is recommended for use in glazed top coats together with other Sarchem binders. It confers a natural and deep gloss without excessive hardening of the grain. It can be used in glazed top finishes of goat and other leather types.
LT-C 1010 is a modified protein and wax based binder, which forms a medium soft film with a good handle. It provides good adhesion and a soft touch. The product gives excellent results on glazed and polished finishes and gives a very good covering when used with LT-EK 8600.
