European glove association

During the last edition of Lineapelle, in November 2002, the first step was taken for the creation of a European association for the gloving industry. The association involves producers, suppliers, distributors, retailers, end-users with a total, at present, of around 100 subscribers. Milan, as an important fashion centre, was chosen as the location for the office which will be operative shortly. The main objectives of the association are to promote the technical details and the quality of the gloves, particularly of the leather ones; to search new international markets; and to create stronger relations with the European associations representing their suppliers and customers.
