ECCO Slovak results

The ECCO Slovak footwear manufacturer in the Slovak Republic recorded a gross profit of around Sk35 million (US$1 = Sk46) on sales worth Sk1.22 billion last year, as compared with a loss worth Sk53 million on sales worth only Sk454 million in 1999. This year's sales are expected to increase by a further 30% year-on-year. ECCO Slovak produced 1.5 million pairs of shoes last year, with the entire production exported. The company, who specialise in the production of luxury shoes, are a wholly-owned subsidiary of ECCO Sko Denmark.
