Dongguan China Shoes rated a success

The 2006 Dongguan. China Shoes. China Shoetec, the only Ufi-approved footwear event in Asia, concluded with great success on April 24, 2006 at Dongguan (Guancheng) International Convention and Exhibition Center, Guangdong, PR China. The 4-day event attracted 19,872 domestic and overseas visitors, representing a 6.26% growth over the last edition. Of the visitors, 35.4% came from Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan Province, while 25.5% were from other overseas countries and regions. The attendance and international mix made Dongguan. The show is jointly organised by Messe Dusseldorf China Ltd, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, CCPIT-Guangdong Sub-Council and Dongguan Sub-Branch and according to the organisers, the scale of the show this year was the largest ever. There were 426 exhibitors, up by 20%, occupying more than 1,200 booths. Regarding the international buyers, the top ten country origins, which accounted for nearly 50%, were Japan, the US, Korea, Italy, Australia, Turkey, India, UK, Thailand and Malaysia. China Shoetec, the Ufi-Approved footwear event in Asia, will be held on April 18 - 20, 2007, at Dongguan International Conference and Exhibition Center, Dongguan City, China. The organisers expect more than 600 middle-to-high end footwear manufacturers from Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan Province and other Asian countries and regions will participate in the fair. Quality footwear suppliers include winners of the Hong Kong Footwear Design Competition and top manufacturers from China and other Asian countries. 95% of the exhibitors are footwear manufacturers, over 50% with a factory nearby so that buyers can visit their factories right after the fair period. Further, China Shoes will be held during the same period as the Canton Fair (April 18-20, 2007) which is expected to attract more buyers to come and visit the fair. Buyers can visit two fairs in one single trip there will be a free shuttle bus to and from Guangzhou to the fairground during the fair period.
