BLC offer half-day mould workshop

5 November 2009

Mould is particularly problematic affecting both leather and finished leathergoods. It is often seen after shipping where products have been stored for periods of time. Mould needs a source of food and a source of moisture to grow: leather acts as an ideal food source for mould, therefore it is vital to ensure moisture is controlled in all stages of manufacture, storage and shipping.

At BLC we are currently seeing a high volume of mould issues from garment, footwear, upholstery and fabrics. The work carried out can identify where the mould originated and causes for action.
BLC are hosting a half-day workshop, at their offices in Northampton, UK to help demonstrate how to avoid these issues and also overview mould inhibitors.
The workshop will take place on December 3, 2009 – 09.30-12.30. Please contact tracey@blceathertech.com for further information or call +44 (0)1604 679999.
