Belarus import more shoes from Russia

Belarus' Ministry of Statistics and Analysis reports that Belarusian leather footwear imports from Russia in the first eleven months of 2002 were substantially higher compared with the same period the previous year, according to the Interfax news agency. The increase in imports was due to a fall in the sales prices of Russian leather footwear during the period. No big increase in the prices of Russian leather footwear is expected in the short to medium term.
