BASF Leather Chemicals celebrate 25 years in India
21 November 2011The Leather Chemicals division of BASF India have held a special event for its distributors to commemorate 25 years of successful partnership. The event held in Mumbai was attended by BASF’s leading distributors of leather chemicals.
Six of BASF’s distributors including IndChem Group, Rajesh Corporation, Diamond Chemicals, BrightChem, Bajaj Chemicals and MNK & Company attended.
‘The last 25 years have been quite eventful for BASF’s Leather Chemicals in India’ said Prasad Chandran, Chairman BASF Companies in India & Head South Asia. ‘Our long-standing and successful association with our distributors shows our mutual commitment to take the leather chemicals business to a far higher level.’
‘The leather chemicals business at BASF has faced several uncertainties in the past. But with unwavering support from our distributors, we have sustained growth even in a difficult environment,’ added Thomas Sattler, Vice President, Global Business Management, BASF Leather Chemicals.

Leather Chemicals is one of BASF’s earliest businesses established since 1891. Since then, the business has grown significantly and continues to contribute significantly to the company’s overall growth.
