Ayakkabi winter fair

The new models of the season were displayed at the 14th Izmir Shoes, Bags And Accessories Fair which was held between July 24-27, 2003. According to the Local and Foreign Sector's Representatives, the fair was successful with respect to the business relations and the number of trade visitors The top level executives of the sector came together at the Ayakkabi Winter 2003 in which 172 domestic and 5 foreign exhibitors from 5 countries participated in the fair. 6576 trade visitors attended the fair. The total allocated area was 6316 sq m. The participant companies found the chance to display their latest designs of shoes for men, women, children, sports shoes, slippers, boots, bags, suitcases, purses and belts. The representatives of the companies from Syria, Greece, England, Italy, Sweden, Canada, Israel, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Kosovo, Slovakia, Austria, Iran, Ukraine, Holland, Bulgaria, Romania, China, made business contacts during the fair. During the fair, the Turkish footwear sector's mission, vision and problems were discussed in the 3rd National Footwear Symposium, which was organised by Turkish Federation of Shoemakers (TUAF), Izmir Shoes Chamber, Aegean Shoes Industrialists Association with support of Izmir Fair. The representatives of the footwear sector had the opportunity to define their demands and complaints. At the cocktail and gala night, top models from Türkiye were on the stage for the fashion show where the exhibitors presented their products.
