Aodeli Tannery opens in Fuxin
22 November 2012After a year of preparation and construction, the Fuxin based Aodeli Tannery officially opened with a grand ceremony on November 15, 2012. The event was attended by members of the industry and senior leaders of local government.
The tannery is proposed to process 600,000 pieces of sheepskin leather and 630 million sets of auto seat leather annually. Yearly turnover could reach 150 million yuan (US$24 million) and the tannery could contribute over one thousand jobs for local employment.
So far there are 63 tanneries which have signed an agreement to move production io the Fuxin Leather Base, amounting to a total investment is 6.7 billion yuan (US$1.1 billion), aimed at producing 15.07 billion yuan (US$2.4 billion) of output annually. 20 tanneries have started production in the area now while a further 23 expect to begin next year.
