Le Cuir A Paris continues to grow
The French leather industry trade show, Le Cuir A Paris continues to grow despite the tough global economic trading conditions. The fair, which specialises in high-end and luxury leather is 17% larger compared with the same fair in September 2011.The fair is attracting designers and buyers from major European high-end and luxury brands.

Reef introduces “LITE”-certified leather shoes
Fashion house Reef is bolstering its image as an ecological trendsetter in its field: The American company recently launched shoes certified with the LITE label (“Low Impact to Environment”) on the market. Only products that are made with especially low energy and water consumption are awarded the LITE label. LITE leather is produced by German tannery ISA TanTec, which has manufacturing facilities in China and Vietnam. Numerous well-known shoe manufacturers use ISA TanTec eco-leather, but without using the LITE label to mark them as especially eco-friendly.
World Footwear Yearbook 2012 launched
APICCAPS (the Portuguese Footwear, Components and Leather Goods Manufacturers Association) and the GDS show fair have launched the 2012 edition of World Footwear Yearbook during the last edition GDS in Düsseldorf earlier this month.

Brazilian tanners and Le Cuir a Paris
The world leather market will focus on Paris between September 19-21, for the Autumn edition of Le Cuir a Paris – a fair dedicated to buyers of leather, hides, skins and especially luxury and exotic leathers. This year the event has a record participation of Brazilian companies: there will be eight national exhibitors showing the international visitors their creations and excellent crafted products.
