Calling all IILF 2013 exhibitors
The 28th India International Leather Fair (IILF) will take place once more at the Chennai Trade Centre in Tamil Nadu’s leading city, Chennai. The next edition takes place January 31 – February 3, 2013.

ESC-TCL set post-2012 development strategy
The Conference of the European Skills Council on Textile, Clothing and Leather (ESC-TCL) took place on December 12, 2012. Representatives from the European Commission (DG Employment and Social Affairs), the social partners, national Industry Skills Partnerships (ISPs), stakeholders from the three sectors and European press have gathered in Elewijt, Belgium, to discuss the outcomes of the first year of operation of the Council. This summit constitutes the main event of the Commission supported initiative of the TCL Social Partners in the framework of the EU Skills Agenda.
800 exhibitors to attend GDS
GDS the international footwear show is to take place March 13-15, 2013 and the organisers are inviting the international shoe sector to meet in Düsseldorf. On offer are collections presented by over 800 exhibitors throughout the world, a compact supporting programme featuring lots of seminars and trend lectures, unique fashion shows and a redesigned children’s segment. Also running in parallel with GDS once again will be Global Shoes – with some 300 exhibitors showcasing a wide range of shoes and leather goods for the volume market.
New ‘Incube’ forum at Le Cuir à Paris
A new ‘INCUBE’ forum is to be highlighted at the next Le Cuir à Paris leather trade show between February 12-14, 2013 in Paris. It is inspired by the desire to promote the research, creativity, expertise and techniques employed by the tanners and product manufacturers who will be exhibiting at the show.
