The last week of May ushered in an end to the US hide market’s springtime decline. China’s lockdown of Shanghai over Covid was easing and hide interest picked up. Despite firming up by the end of June, volumes were not large for the highest-priced sales and the upside potential seemed limited.

July was an odd month for the US hide market. In the early days, prices had eased off the recent highs as demand lagged. Still, producers reported being well positioned. By mid-month, increases were generally impossible to achieve and the market was steady at best. In the last week, it was already trending downward.
Stahl and Univar Solutions Strengthen Partnership by Expanding Distribution Agreement to Customers in Brazil and Colombia
Waalwijk, the Netherlands, September 1st, 2022 – Stahl, an active proponent of responsible chemistry, has confirmed a new distribution agreement with Univar Solutions, a global chemical and ingredients distributor. Univar Solutions Brazil and Univar Solutions Colombia will deliver Stahl products to customers in Brazil and Colombia, respectively. The agreement is effective September 1, 2022.

ACLE 2022 rescheduled to December
