India has a big growth potential for the tanning industry and in the finishing sector which is why it is regarded as important for TFL to have a strong position in the whole added value chain, from the beamhouse to finishing. TFL are strengthening their position in this promising market beginning with the acquisition of the Indian finishing specialist Quinn in 2003 combined with the TFL overall know-how and infrastructure.
TFL Quinn India are headquartered at Hyderabad, which is used as a central production location to cover the requirements of customers in South Asia and the Far East. This complies with TFL’s vision to be the preferred supplier to the leather industry on a global basis, creating value for customers with superior systems and service.
Through their strong presence and the outstanding know-how in leather technology, TFL Quinn India guarantees tailor-made service and quick deliveries for their superior products and systems to all their customers in the South Asian countries: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
TFL Quinn India took a further step by establishing a new finishing application centre in Hyderabad which enables TFL customers to access outstanding service very close to their premises. With the Cad Cam technology at the centre it is now possible to scan the leathers developed in the latest fashion trends and create computerised models of garments, leathergoods, shoes and furniture with the various trendy leathers developed. The customer will now be able to see the final intended product along with the leathers innovated by TFL.
TFL have also undertaken a range of initiatives by optimising all aspects for their finishing business: It starts with new R&D activities in finishing and increasing their capacity for production, logistics and delivery of polymers for sales on a global basis.
