Tenders called for shoemaking equipment

The European Union has posted a bid for tenders to supply equipment for a Shoemaking Training Institution and Information Centre in Istanbul.

The consulting authority is LDK of Greece, who are acting on behalf of the Republic of Turkey. This is a MEDA (Euro-Mediterranean Partnership) project and Turkey qualifies as a member under a bilateral association agreement.

Intentions to bid should be received by April 1, 2003, and tenders will be opened on May 5, 2003, in Ankara, Turkey’s capital. Main lots included in the tender include:

1. Shoemaking workshop equipment

2. Quality control laboratory equipment

3. CAD-CAM system, hardware and software

4. Information Centre equipment, office equipment and training tools.
