Russia’s State Statistics Committee reports that Russia produced 10.3 million pairs of footwear in the first quarter of this year, a rise of 9.9% compared with the same period in 2002, according to the Interfax news agency. In comparison, industrial output in Russia rose by 6% year-on-year.
