Dr Ishratul Ebad, Governor, Sindh, approved the grant for the development work considering the dilapidated conditions in the country’s largest cluster of leather industries from the Annual Development Programme (ADP), it said.
This was announced by Municipal Administrator Korangi, Abdul Sami Khan in a meeting with Amanullah Aftab, Chairman of the Pakistan Tanners’ Association (South Zone), and other office-bearers. Khan, who disclosed that the work on civil infrastructure repair work of the Road-5000 from Chamra Chowrangi to Road-4000, revamping of Central Avenue along with cleaning and repair of street drains will start in a two-weeks, according to the statement.
He also assured that the work on inside streets of the Tannery Zone and its peripheral roads will also be taken up soon.
The construction of the second track of Road-5000 was also included in the development, said the statement.
