Once again, Hong Kong will be the focal point for the leather industry when the next edition of APLF takes place from March 29 to April 1, 2004. The event is now known as APLF Materials, Manufacturing and Technology (MMT), in recognition of the broader scope of both natural and man-made materials now available to manufacturers as well as the expanded role of technology.
One of the reasons this fair, which has a history of two decades, has maintained its leading position is its ability to evolve at the same pace as the industry. Another is its ability to identify and meet industry needs. In 2004, for example, there will be a strong focus on components. It aims to provide footwear manufacturers with a comprehensive range of components across the whole shoemaking spectrum to facilitate the task of selection.
APLF MMT is showing its usual healthy rebooking status with over 80% of the available space already taken up by the end of October 2003. More than 30 countries and regions are represented, underlining the strong international nature of the event.
Australia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK and the USA have all confirmed that they will be forming group pavilions for APLF MMT 2004.
