The Spanish Federation of Tanners, ACEXPIEL, has chosen the event to present an exclusive ready-to-wear collection. This project named ‘Inspiration’ was conceived in collaboration with the Spanish designers’ association, Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España. Around thirty pieces in leather and fur, some of which mix leather and textiles, will be exhibited in a space called Hall of Fame where visitors are invited to discover them. Spanish designers such as Alma Aguilar, Miriam Ocariz and Modesto Lomba have participated in this project. A cocktail will be offered to the press and other invitees who will be able to personally meet and discuss with the tanners and the designers.

Always with the aim of promoting design and creativity, the Designers’ Village will present the works of Cueros Latinos, Nouria Nehari, Valérie Saïd, Wiktoria Guzelf as well as the fur atelier run by the Fur Design department of the Central Ostrobothna University (Finland) and Dominique Baudoin (Noewa Fourrures, France).

The day before the exhibition, the meeting of the International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists (IULTCS) will be held in the Palais Brogniart, Paris. Around 100 VIPs coming from all over the world are invited to this event. Members of various associations, from raw hides to finished products, and the professional press will discuss the future of leather and its markets.
