Approximately 50% of the 413 exhibitors are from Italy and the fair organisers say that they have attracted 40 new exhibitors to the show this year. Leathers on show are for the Autumn/Winter 2013/14 season. Exhibitors at the show come from 27 countries, mostly from Europe but there are groups from Pakistan, United States, China and Brazil. There are major European groups from France, Spain and Turkey.
On day one of the show on September 19 the fair appeared to have more visitors than last year and now the organisers have filled the whole of hall 4 at the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition grounds on the outskirts of Paris. The fair takes place September 19-21.
Leather International spoke to one Spanish footwear brand buyer who was attending the show. “I have been happy to meet a number of our suppliers at the show and to see new companies. The trend area at the fair is very good and it has helped us identify leathers that interest us to take samples. I think that in the future I will come here instead of the Bologna fair as the timing is better being a month earlier and it is easier to get to from where we are located.”
Le Cuir A Paris t forms part of the Premiere Vision show which also exhibits textiles and components.
