World renowned leather products manufacturer Rino Mastrotto Group is contemplating setting up an operations base in Kenya. They announced on Wednesday that they would like to form a partnership with the Kenyan government that would see hundreds of youths employed at the firm.
In a meeting with Kenya’s deputy president, William Ruto, the Italian company made clear its desire to set up operations in Africa, through Kenya.
The firm’s owner Rino Mastrotto said businesses thrive under stable governments, and that the political tranquillity in many African countries could provide a pleasant environment for his operations hub.
Ruto has said the government would offer the necessary assistance in order to aid the firm in establishing its footing in Kenya. By setting base in Kenya, the Deputy President said the firm would not only be creating jobs to youths but also boost income for farmers.
