The Department of Policy and Promotion has approved four projects under the Indian Footwear Leather and Accessories Development Program.
The move is an attempt to facilitate job creation, infrastructure and environmental sustainability.
With labour law reforms and greater tax incentives, the hope is it will attract investment which will help to support the economy.
