Increased customer demand has led ISA TanTec to announce the opening of a second tannery in Vietnam. According to local reports, the new facility will be built on a 60,000m2 plot in Tay Ninh Province.
“The setup of the new tannery will be mirroring the already successful site in Saigon. The replication of the tannery will enable the realization of synergies, and has benchmark options including but not limited to the possibility of shared service between both tanneries,” said Uwe Hutzler, CEO of ISA TanTec.
The new Vietnam tannery will be the company’s fifth such facility across the world.
“Our experiences in Vietnam are outstanding, and we decided, for this location, to bridge the gap of three to five years before new regions might be attractive and stable enough for the tanning industry,” added Thomas Schneider, executive chairman of ISA TanTec.
