Senegal, one of Africa’s up and coming leather producers, has reported a slight drop in its output.
The country’s Directorate of Forecasting and Economic Studies (DPEE), reported that the volume of Senegal’s leather and leather goods dropped by 1.4% in the first quarter of 2018 compared with the previous quarter.
The figure is in sharp contrast to last year’s corresponding quarter, when output jumped by 16.3%.
