Luxury leather brand Louis Vuitton has partnered with BMW to roll out a luggage set that coordinate with the new BMW i8 plug-in hybrid.
The four-piece set — two travel bags, a business case and a garment bag — is made from lightweight yet durable carbon fibre and matches the car’s interior, complete with Louis Vuitton’s chequered Damier pattern.
"This collaboration with BMW-i epitomises our shared values of creativity, technological innovation and style," said head of special orders at Louis Vuitton and great-grandson of the House’s founder Patrick-Louis-Vuitton. "Our craftsmen have enjoyed the challenge of this very special project, using their ingenuity and attention to detail to create a truly made to measure set of luxury luggage. This is a pure expression of the art of travel."
The new luggage series will be available upon request in select Louis Vuitton stores worldwide from April 1 2014.
