The Leather Research Laboratory has scheduled its Retanning/Colouring/Fatliquoring Seminar for May 7-18, 2001, and it will be held at the USDA Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC) in Philadelphia, PA. An all-new course will be presented by Dr David Bailey.

The Retanning/Colouring/Fatliquoring Seminar is specifically designed for tannery employees and chemical suppliers. This seminar will provide in-depth technical training into the theory and practice of retanning, dyeing, and fatliquoring chrome-tanned stock. It has been designed as a practical hands-on course.

Participants utilise ERRC pilot facilities, gaining first-hand leather making experience, and benefit from the expertise of new course instructor Dr David Bailey, who is assisted by ERRC staff and guest speakers. Nowhere else in the US can tannery employees or chemical suppliers receive this kind of in-depth, technical training.

The Registration fee is $2,500. A course agenda and registration can be found on-line at: [http://www.leatherusa.org] – the laboratory’s new web site. For more information, contact Dr Nicholas J Cory, Leather Research Laboratory, at +1 513 242 6300; fax: +1 513 242 9797.
