China’s General Administration of Customs has reported that China imported ‘oxhide leather’ worth US$928 million in the first half of this year, 4.9% higher than in the same period last year, according to the Xinhua news agency. Imports of tanning and shoe manufacturing machinery were 13.1% lower at US$38 million.
