The inaugural meeting of the US National Ratite Producers Cooperative was due to take place in Texarkana, Arkansas, on August 24 and 25. The objective of this new ratite cooperative is to market their raw byproducts.
Funds are available from the USDA rural development programme for the creation of this new cooperative.
Speakers are from the Texas Dept of Agriculture, the Farm Bureau, product companies, refineries and meat processors.
