Cutafob FWR from Boehme is a hydrophobic agent which can be used on all hydrophobic types of leather as a main or sole fatliquor. It gives leather a good softness and tightness; full, round and waxy handle; very good dyeability and lightfastness; and good water repellency.
Its chemical constitution is: alkyl phosphoric acid ester derivative, silicone emulsion, high-molecular aliphatic hydrocarbons. Concentration is approximately 65% and it is of a yellow to orange liquid consistency.
Cutafob FWR is anionic and has a pH of 7-8 in 10% aqueous solution. It can be added to floats undiluted or diluted with water. It is used 5-14% on shaved weight for upper leathers and 12-22% for garment leather.
It is not resistant to chromium and aluminium salts, strong acids and vegetable tannins. Recommended storage temperature is +3°C to +35°C. It should be well stirred before sampling or use. From the date of delivery, it has a shelf life of about one year in unopened drums/containers under correct storage conditions.
Cutapol TIS-MF is a main fatliquor for all soft garment and upholstery leather. It gives outstanding softness; full, round and waxy handle; very good dyeability and levelness; and good lightfastness and is particularly suitable for fatliquoring aniline leathers.
Chemical constitution: natural and synthetic sulfoester derivatives, high molecular glycerides with a concentration of around 65%. It is a redbrown liquid with a pH of 7-9 in 10% aqueous solution. It is resistant to electrolytes in usual work concentrations and can be added undiluted or diluted with water to the floats.
Up to 14% on shaved weight is required for upholstery leather, up to 16% for garment leather and up to 12% for synthetic vegetable retanned upholstery leather.
Recommended storage temperature is +20°C to +27°C; the product clouds out of this temperature range. Before use or sampling, it should be warmed and stirred well. If affected by frost, it should be heated to +20°C to +25°C and the contents of the drum stirred thoroughly or subjected to circulation by pumping. Shelf life is around one year unopened.
Cutapol TIS-MF3 is particularly suited for fatliquoring aniline leathers and gives leather outstanding softness; full, round and waxy handle; very good dyeability and levelness; good lightfastness; and improved fogging values.
Chemical constitution: natural and synthetic sulfoester derivatives, high molecular glycerides with approximately 65% concentration. An anionic redbrown liquid with a pH of 7-9 in 10% aqueous solution. Resistant to electrolytes in usual work concentratons but not resistant to aluminium salt solutions.
Recommended storage temperature is +20°C to +27°C as product clouds out of this range. It should be warmed and stirred before use or if affected by frost. Cutapol TIS-MF3 has to be pre-emulsified with warm or hot water and is subsequently added to the floats.
Walkatan FWF is a kicking oil which is especially suitable for all types of exotic fur and can also be used for hard natured skins such as Yemeni kids. It is taken up evenly by the leather, penetrates the skins evenly and results in cloth-like softness.
Using Walkatan FWF fur skins can be kicked with higher moisture than usual. Furthermore, the skins can be more easily skived thinly and after the subsequent degreasing, sawdust drummed without problems. Preliminary tests are required in order to determine the effects on the dressed fur skins.
It has a chemical constitution of lanoline derivatives, lecithin, high molecular aliphatic hydrocarbons and has a concentration of 100%. It is brown, pourable and has a shelf life of around a year under storage conditions of +3°C to +35°C unopened.
