Gemata have introduced a new stacking machine designed to aid the splitting operation. Comstack-Split allows the tanner to pile and grade both the grain and flesh split separately.

Located at the rear of the splitting machine, the Comstack-Split has two conveyors with grain split above the flesh split below. Both items are then automatically transferred from the splitting machine and piled flat on two adjustable tables, which lower as the load becomes higher. This machine is specifically designed for tanners of full hide chrome, wet-white or vegetable tanned leathers. However, a number of working widths are available.

The conveyor has a maximum working speed of 60m/min and may process up to 600 hides/hour if the splitting operation would allow it. All the parameters may be added automatically using a touch screen display and up to 30 different work cycles may be programmed into the machine.
