SATRA have appointed an experienced technologist to enhance their footwear testing business. Lynne Brent rejoins SATRA having spent 24 years in the footwear industry – encompassing laboratory testing, production and quality management.
She was most recently quality/laboratory manager with Airwair International (Dr Martens), where a prime responsibility was to ensure that safety footwear met demanding international standards.
Lynne worked at SATRA as a laboratory technician in 1978 and her new role with the UK technology centre is geared towards improving and developing footwear testing services for members, and promoting SATRA’s capabilities.
Steve Rose, business manager for SATRA’s materials and product testing says: ‘Lynne’s great strength is that she can offer considerable industry experience for this demanding new role.’
