Slovakia’s Statistical Office reports that the Slovak Republic exported raw hides and skins, and leather and leather products, worth US$71.8 million in the first seven months of this year, compared with US$64.7 million in the same period in 2002.

The Slovak Republic also imported the same types of commodities with a value of US$131 million in the January to July period, compared with US$120 million in the corresponding period the previous year.
