Gloves are right back in fashion and Pittards is in demand to explain the benefits of its unique developments in gloving leather.
Recently the company was asked to give presentations at major training days for representatives from leading department stores and retailers across Britain and Europe.
‘The training days were organised by top fashion accessory company Dents’, said Pittards’ marketing executive Florence Vaughan-France.
‘The training day held at Dents’ head office in Warminster, Wiltshire, was attended by around 50 representatives including frontline sales staff from leading stores such as Selfridges and Fenwicks. Held in Brussels, the day was attended by 25 French speaking and 8 Flemish speaking representatives from leading Belgium department store group ENO. These included buyers, sales directors and general managers.
‘Everyone was really interested in how we use new technology to incorporate real benefits into the leather. By incorporating technical advantages into individual leather fibres, we now add qualities such as breathability, permanent softness and colour fastness. The audience was particularly interested in the Pittards special water resistant treatment which ensures an exceptionally low uptake of water and very fast drying in the modern glove.’
