Officials from the Czech leather industry held talks concerning bilateral co-operation in the leather industry with their counterparts from Iraq’s State Establishment for Leather Industries (SELI) in Baghdad in early January, according to the Interfax news agency. The talks covered the supply of Czech leathergoods, manufacturing machinery, materials and technologies to Iraqi leather industry companies. The prospects for Czech leather companies in Iraq are said to be good.
